01/10/2008

Orange City, IA – The Pizza Ranch restaurant chain has opened its new restaurant support center in Orange City, IA.

Pizza Ranch, Inc., a restaurant chain based in Iowa specializing in pizza, chicken and buffet, finished the relocation of their corporate offices to Orange City from Hull, Iowa in July 2007. The company’s new 20,000-square-foot facility houses all of Pizza Ranch’s corporate staff along with a new training facility and test kitchen.

The company’s new center was built in the Industrie Centrum, Orange City’s newest industrial park at 204 19th Street, Southeast, on the east-side of Albany Place Southeast/K64 approximately a mile south of the intersection with Highway 10.

The original Pizza Ranch restaurant was started in Hull in 1981 and is still operating at the same location. The company started franchising in 1983 and opened their corporate office in Hull shortly thereafter.

Since that time, Pizza Ranch has expanded to 139 locations in eight states across the Midwest and has become one of the region’s largest restaurant chains. Pizza Today magazine announced its list of the top 100 pizza chains nationally based on sales and puts Pizza Ranch at #28. Pizza Ranch has also attained the status as the number-one buffet restaurant chain in Iowa and South Dakota, based on total sales in that segment, according to NPD Food World, a research company focused on the restaurant industry.

Orange City is also the home of the second Pizza Ranch location, which opened in 1983.
