SoybeanBIOwa is a company producing organic culinary oil and essential fatty acid (EFA) dietary supplement. This venture is a partnership between Spectrum Organic Products Inc. and American Natural Soy. The production facility is world’s largest plant dedicated to organic, plant-based essential fatty acid (EFA) oils. Flax seed is used primarily in health food and as a dietary supplement.

BoDeans Baking Company

BoDeans boasts the most modern cone baking facility in North America. They are dedicated to producing the best sugar cone available in today’s marketplace for makers of novelty ice cream products. BoDeans has expanded their ice cream cone production facility to meet the demand of its customers and just completed a new state-of-the-art wafer production facility in Le Mars.

North America IML

North America IML is a plastic container maunfacturer that personalizes packaging to ensure higher levels of product recognition. They use an injection process called in mold labelling (IML) that can be used for transparent or colored food packaging and a possibility of light barriers. The company recently decided to locate in Le Mars.

Little Sioux Corn Processors Expansion

The LSCP expansion will raise production from 52 million gallons of ethanol per year to over 90 million gallons annually. This growth represents an investment of over $40 million to value-added agriculture in Northwest Iowa. A minimum of 12 new jobs will be added to the existing payroll.

Soy Energy

Soy Energy will build a soy processing plant between Marcus and Cleghorn , Iowa. This facility will produce 30 million gallons per year of biodiesel from soybeans, crude soy oil, corn oil, and animal fats. Pelletized biomass will be the primary source of thermal energy and steam. Soy Energy will bring nearly 50 jobs and significant economic development to Cherokee County and Northwest Iowa.

Wells’ Dairy, Inc.

Wells’ Dairy is the world’s largest family owned and managed dairy processor. The company’s Blue Bunny brand is found on ice cream and novelty products and is a staple for milk, yogurt and sour cream products. Because of the growth of its products and workforce, the company will open a new corporate campus in Le Mars in 2006.
